Blending
Something I like to see in print ads is blending, and this is a great example of just that. I like when the item the company is trying to promote blends in with the background like a "camouflage." I think the reason this inspires me is because I either like a lot of colour or a very minimal amount of colour, no in-between. To make this ad effective, I think the designer chose this colour-way of the shoe (because it is a single colour) and matched it with the background. They also made the shoe glimmer and shine and used matching colours for the text. Overall, I think the most effective tactic the designer used was colour.
Subtle Humour
I enjoy looking at a print ad and having a little chuckle when I'm finished reading it, which is exactly the case for this picture. I think the reason this inspires me is because it is very minimal, simple, and subtle and just the transition of an exclamation mark to a period makes this ad so much better.
What the designer used to make this effective was definitely clever humour by simply turning an exclamation mark to a period.

Cleverness
I like when the designer of an ad is clever with their design by using other objects or a play on words to promote their products. The inspiration that I find in this is how the designer used animals to portray how precise their car can park. What the designer used to make this an effective ad was a clever picture that is easy to understand containing animals that are visually appealing.
Colour
like I mentioned earlier, I either like just a bit of colour, or a whole lot of colour. In this case my inspiration was the excessive amount of colour in the image, I don't really know why but I just love ads that are filled with colour. I think the effectiveness of this ad is definitely all the colour as without it the colour would look pretty bland. Since the ad is for flip-flops I think it is good the designer used a lot of colour because it portrays all the colours of flip-flops the company sells and also goes hand in hand with the text which says "now you''ll see a happier world."
Illustration
I like to see how pictures look under different edits and filters and such. In this case the edit was more of an illustration of the shoe. I think the inspiration that I found in this was the aesthetic of it, I found it pleasing to look at. The effectiveness of this ad is like I said earlier the aesthetic it gives off, and the fiery background really makes it look great in my opinion.
